Rooidamme is full
Murraysburg has been blessed with substantial rains since the 2nd January 2017 and as a result the Rooidamme have quickly filled.
In fact, on Sunday evening 8th January at about 10:00pm the dams started overflowing into the bypass furrow which leads surplus water back into the Buffels River.
And so, after an absence of about 25 years, water has returned to the heart of the town and the process of harnessing this wonderful asset for the economic benefit of all Murraysburgers can begin.
